This year we decided to try a new way of keeping out tomatoes off the ground.

We went out to weed after dinner last night and this is what we found in the garden- Crop Damage.

Planting Our Garden

I was so excited that we got to plant our garden this week. It feels so great when you stand back and look at what you have planted and get a feeling of accomplishment. Also knowing what you just planted will being you many rewards later.

Tilling Up the Garden

I'm delighted to say that we tilled up our new garden this past weekend. We had to move our location of the garden because we got blight two years in a row. The blight affected our tomatoes big time two years in a row. Some of the tomatoes would only half ripen, they would split open before they were ripe or they would fall of the ripe before they would ripen and never ripen after that.

Planning Your 2011 Garden

I'm sure most of you have already started planning your garden but I really haven't. I thought about but haven't drawn out a plan yet.  This will be our third year having a garden and we really haven't every drawn out a plan the past two years. This year I want to change that and want to get more out of my garden as far as fitting more plants it in.
